The Washtenaw Quality Preschool Partnership is a collaboration of local school districts and community-based providers who offer State of Michigan (GSRP) and federally (Head Start) funded preschool services for low to moderate income families.
Children who attend a high quality program in the year or two before kindergarten are better prepared for school academically, socially, and emotionally.
The interest form on this website is the first step in the process to apply for free preschool. It helps us connect you with the program that you feel is best for your family. After completing the interest form, you will still need to complete a full application along with providing your income information.
Please note the ages for our programs are:
- For Great Start Readiness Programs: This program is for 4 year old only children. Your 4 year old child/children must be born between 9/2/2018 to 9/1/2019 and have an income that is from 0-250% of the Federal Poverty Level as well as lives within the Washtenaw Intermediate School District boundaries.
- For Head Start Programs: Your 3 to 4 year old child/children must be born between 9/2/2018 to 12/1/2020 and have an income that is from 0-100% of the Federal Poverty Level as well as lives within Washtenaw County.
